This is the crazy new piece I made for the current Exhibition @brunyislandartuntamed The crescent moon I wanted to re create in some pieces as the Ring (swipe left) I made around 2001 using recycled 22ct gold from an old ring I bought at a pawn shop as an near trade school in Melbourne. You can tell how soft it is by how the points of the crescent have squashed over the decades! I often have very deep connections to my work that cannot be put into words……so this time I’m leaving it up to YOU! This piece comes across very symbolic in many ways. Check out the back too. This piece was inspired by the thought of digging up a lost treasure from an ancient civilisation. Except one day we will be that ancient civilisation and this piece may be dug up be someone who wonders about what it once symbolised?? ?
