This is my massive Crocodile Eye ring!! It was very hard to capture the Iris and pupil in a photo but if you google Crocodile eyes you might understand what I see. This ring is totally designed around the stone reminding me of a Crocs eye and then modelling the ring around it. The design evolved a lot over a few designs. I really didn’t hold back with this one! It’s the sort of piece I put soooo much time in and don’t care how long it hangs around for to find the right owner because I love it! It kind of reminds me of an American Indian design. Although that was not intentional. It’s all silver with elaborate reticulated gold panels above and below the stone. Don’t ask me why The eye is from Queensland and is a piece of Malachite in Jasper I cut from a slab sawn from rough rock. I’d say this is the piece that has got my creative juices flowing this year. It’s time consuming evolution was well worth it for me!
